Quality assurance at Allegheny River Terminals, Inc. is a "built-in" process and not a program. Programs have a beginning and an end. At Allegheny River Terminals, Inc. there is no end to our quality assurance process.
Services and Equipment
Drying:
Utilizing our natural gas Maxon Dryer, our system easily handles the norm of ferroalloys as well as dense ore fines.
Crushing:
Raw Materials can be crushed on our Kue Ken jaw crusher and/or a smaller roll crusher. Starting size can range from 12-18" and be crushed down to 16 mesh.
Screening:
We provide a full range of screening for our customers needs. A Grizzly Screen is available to remove fines. Our Seco double-deck screener allows customers to take full advantage of size yields. Product sizing evaluations are available on selected segregations.
Bagging:
Our Don Marshall bagging system handles the smaller 25 pound paper or poly spun bags with a sewn closure, while our Super Sack bagging system fills up to 4000 pound sacks. The versatility of our systems also allows for the filling of drums, cans and pallet boxes.
Equipment:
Our Kobelco 916 backhoe/excavator allows us to reduce the generation of fines while providing consistent net weights for direct transfers to your customers. During inclement weather, we can open a barge, remove as many loads as necessary and quickly close the barge thus minimizing moisture accumulation. By having an American Cable Crane on site we are fully equipped to discharge packaged goods and quickly transfer them to inside storage or directly onto waiting trucks.
